Beijing Daxing International Airport (BDIA) Expressway and the middle section of the BDIA’s North Expressway are expected to be completed and open to traffic at the end of this month, according to the city’s transport authorities on June 17, 2019.
By then, it will take only about 20 minutes for the public to reach BDIA from the South Fifth Ring Road.
The BDIA Expressway, 27 kilometers long, stretches from the South Fifth Ring Road to the north fence of BDIA.
The middle section of the 24.58-kilometer-long east-west North Expressway of BDIA runs for 14.66 kilometers, between Beijing-Kaifeng Expressway and Beijing-Taipei Expressway. BDIA’s North Expressway will further extend eastwards and westwards.
Upon the completion of the two expressways, the construction of four expressways of BDIA’s "five vertical and two horizontal" integrated transportation networks will have been finished.
