The second phase of ZGC Inno Town recently debuted in Wenquan Township of Haidian District in Beijing, and the upgraded town aims to be a “Silicon Valley-style 28-hour intelligent community” for startups.
On the opening day, a culture and technology festival with the theme of “Lighting the way” kicked off at the town. The festival displaying cool and trendy cultural and creative products, installation art and other independently designed products is a platform created by the town for the incubated enterprises to promote their sales channels and reputations.
After an analysis of the startups in four northern townships of Haidian District, Zhongguancun, Beijing and the country, the upgraded ZGC Inno Town highlights a “28-hour intelligent economic ecosystem” with the integration of working and living and a comprehensive “entrepreneurial+life+social” resource sharing platform.
“People usually spend two hours on meals and two hours on commute a day. The town allows startup teams to live and work in the same place so that they can make use of 28 hours a day. That is the core strength of the upgraded ZGC Inno town,” a staff member of the town introduced.
As a new benchmark for mass entrepreneurship and innovation supported by the government, the first phase of ZGC Inno Town covers a construction area of 190,000 square meters, and it is now home to 505 startups and more than 5,000 entrepreneurs.
