Track-laying work of Beijing-Xiongan intercity-railway’s Beijing section started on April 15, 2019.

According to the construction plan, the track-laying for the 69-kilometer-long section from Liying to Beijing Daxing International Airport (BDIA) will be completed before April 30, and open to traffic synchronously with the new airport in September.

By then, it will take passengers only 20 minutes to arrive at BDIA from Beijing West Railway Station.

The 92.4-kilometer-long Beijing-Xiongan intercity railway starts at Liying Station in the north, and terminates at Xiongan Station in the south, passing Beijing’s Daxing District, and Hebei Province’s Gu’an County and Bazhou City.

Upon completion of the railways, travel time from Xiongan to Beijing will be reduced to 30 minutes.

Beijing-Xiongan intercity railway is an important rail transit to link the downtown of Beijing, BDIA with the Xiongan New Area.

It is to an important part to serve the Xiongan New Area and the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Xiongan New Area is about 100 km southwest of Beijing and spans three counties in Hebei Province.
