Beijing’s Daxing District plans to build 29 multi-functional toilets at the new town area by the end of this year.
The new toilets will be individually designed with an elegant appearance, which matches the style of surrounding architectures.
Boasting breast-feeding rooms and family bathrooms, the toilets are equipped with various user-friendly facilities like children’s water closets and low wash basins in addition to hand sanitizers and toilet paper.
“The toilets are water-saving and a toilet stall guiding system is also installed at each of the toilets,” said an official in charge from the district.
In the future, the toilets will be built into a multi-functional city service complex with convenient facilities like a 24-hour convenience store, a reading corner and a rest station. The rest station with power supplies, microwave ovens and medical kits are built for outdoor sanitation, municipal administration and gardening workers to have a shower, meal or rest.
