The main station building of Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway’s Qinghe Station will be completed by the end of June and get ready for acceptance by the end of December 2019, Beijing Daily reported on Wednesday.
The Qinghe Station is one of Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway’s departure stations, also a large one in scale.
It will integrate national railway, metro and municipal works. Totally three metro lines of Beijing: Line 13, southern extension of Changping Line and a branch of Line 19, will be introduced into the Qinghe Station.
Upon completion, the Qinghe Station will become a comprehensive transportation hub in northern Beijing.
The estimated annual passenger volume of the four-storey-Qinghe Station is some 16 million according to a head of its main station building project.
Upon completion, the second floor underground will be the area for southern extension of Changping Line and the branch of Line 19 to go.
The first floor underground will be used for national railway to depart and as a garage, the area for passenger’s transfer to metro lines and paying for tickets, and an urban corridor to connect the station’s two squares each in east and west side.
The first floor on the ground will be taken as the entry hall and running area for national railway and Line 13.
The second floor will be a waiting hall. These functional areas will be interconnected so to facilitate passengers’ interchange.
