A bustling Spring Festival fair is now being held at the garden and the square of the Cining Palace of the Palace Museum in Beijing.

More than 150 Chinese time-honored brands from provinces and municipalities like Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Shandong province and Anhui province set up booths at the fair to showcase intangible cultural heritages to visitors.

For example, Wangzhihe, a well-known Beijing-based enterprise which has a historical origin with the Palace Museum, exhibited flower- and low-salinity-themed fermented bean curd products, Hudie (Butterfly), a Shanghai-based time-honored brand, launched a new generation of programmable sewing machines, and Ruyangliu, a time-honored brand from Henan province, presented hand-made Chinese brushes with a two-thousand-year history.

Jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Palace Museum, the fair opens from January 28 to February 10, aiming to promote the commercial culture of Chinese time-honored brands and present visitors with the royal traditions of celebrating the Spring Festival during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
