The Beijing-Zhangjiakou high speed railway’s track laying project kicked off officially with its first track panel falling slowly into the right place on the morning of November 1, 2018, according to Xinhua News Agency.
The whole track laying project is estimated to be completed on May 30, 2019. The accurate adjustment of track will be finished on July 31, 2019 and its alignment joint-test will be completed by the end of 2019.
The 174-kilometer-long Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway, a national key project, is an important transport line for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
Upon its completion, the traveling time between Beijing and Zhangjiakou will be shorten to 50 minutes, which is of significant strategic importance to facilitate the Beijing 2022, advance the integration development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei province and connect the western region of China.
