With the approach of the “Double 11” online shopping festival this year, Beijing’s postal and express industry is taking new measures to address the problems of delivering a large number of mails and packages and disposing express garbage, such as introducing various sorting and delivering equipment and intelligent waste paper recycling machines.

At present, Beijing has achieved preliminary results in the green development of the postal and express industry as the number of new energy vehicles used in the postal and express industry has reached 2,000 so far, and the city plans to replace with 6,000 to 8,000 new energy vehicles in the industry in the next three years.

As a pilot city for green packaging in the country, Beijing began using and selling green environmental-friendly boxes at postal outlets from July 1 this year, and from September 1, the boxes have been used at all postal outlets in the city.
