Ticket of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway on sale

The tickets of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high speed railway was put on sale simultaneously in both mainland and Hong Kong at 8 am on September 10, 2018 as the Hongkong section of the railway is set to officially start operation on Sept. 23. At then, it will take only eight hours and 58 minutes to reach Hong Kong from Beijing. 

The ticket prices of the Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to Beijing West Railway Station are 1,077 yuan for the second class, 1,724 yuan for the first class and 3,369 yuan for the business class.

Passengers can buy the tickets at the ticket windows with cash of both Hong Kong dollar and Renminbi, or by octopus and credit cards as well as e-payment like WeChat and Alipay.

One person can buy at most ten tickets on a self-help ticket vending machine.

The G79 train from the Beijing West Railway Station to the Hong Kong West Kowloon Station departs from Beijing at 10:00 and arrives at Hong Kong at 18:58 every day.

The G80 train from the Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to the Beijing West Railway Station starts at 8:05 and arrives at Beijing West Railway Station at 17:01 every day, totally taking eight hours and 56 minutes.

The 141-kilometer-long Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway, an important part of China’s high speed railway network, includes the mainland section of 115 kilometers and a 26-kilometer-long Hong Kong section.

The trains of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway was named as Vibrant Express, suggesting Hong Kong is a dynamic metropolitan city.

The “Vibrant Express” train has eight compartments and totally 579 seats. Both the first and the eighth compartments are first class compartments providing a total of 68 seats.

The others are second class compartments and two wheel chair seats are set up in the seventh compartment. All compartments are covered with WiFi.

Besides, there are also accessible washroom, automatic water dispenser, mother-and-baby-care desk, and other facilities in the train.

Every seat also has two types of socket for passengers’ different plugs of electric appliance.
