Sponsored by Beijing Olympic City Development Association and hosted by Bird’s Nest Culture Center, an Olympic culture theme exhibition “From 2008 to 2022, Olympic Spirit in Motion” opened at National Stadium in Beijing on August 8, 2018.
The exhibition will be free to the public from August 8 to September 22. People can visit it by buying a ticket of Bird’s Nest or making an appointment in advance.
The exhibition aims to present a thorough picture of Olympic history and development in China, including the Beijing Olympic legacy exhibition, Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics special exhibition, Olympic culture exhibition area, Olympic education exhibition area and Olympic venue exhibition area.
The Beijing Olympic legacy exhibition fully shows Beijing’s achievements and progress in promoting Olympic sports culture, education and post-game use of venues as well as the planning for the sustainable development of 2022 Winter Olympic Games venues.
Francis Gabet, director of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, said at the opening ceremony that the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games has left China rich tangible and intangible heritages, which help incorporate sports into more people’s lives. “I believe that the 2022 Winter Olympics will also play such a role, and this exhibition will show unique Olympic charm to more people,” he said.
