On August 5, Beijing saw a rainfall, which brought an end to the nine sauna days in the city. And this week, rain was forecast for every day in Beijing, with heavy ones on August 6 and 7.

From 10:00 to 18:00 on August 5, the city’s average precipitation was 2.6 mm, with the largest one of 39.3 mm seen at Nanjiao of Fangshan District.

The rain was forecast to continue in Beijing for the whole week. Some parts of the city were expected to see moderate to heavy rain or downpours on August 6 and 7. Citizens were suggested to bring rain gear for their travel.

The highest temperature was forecast to drop to be only 30 degrees Celsius during the day while the lowest temperature would be around 24 to 25 degrees Celsius at night. However, due to relatively high humidity, the weather would be sultry so that citizens still need to pay attention to heatstroke prevention.
