Beijing’s shared-bike monitoring platform so far has taken in some of the relevant enterprises’ data, and will be launched by the end of 2018 to make real time monitoring for shared bikes.
Now, totally nine shared bikes operation enterprises run about 1.91 million bikes in Beijing, decreased by 20 percent from 235 million bikes of the peak period in last September, generating an obvious decrement.
The 1.91 million bikes as the upper limit of the city won’t be exceeded within 2018 and may be cut continuously, said Hu Haiming, a staff member of Beijing Municipal Commission of Transportation.
Statistics showed Beijing saw 1.42 million on average daily bicyclers using the shared bikes in the first half of 2018 and the nine firms’ total riding mileage was 400 million kilometers.
Beijing has stepped up construction of the monitoring and service platform for share bikes and will carry out the dynamic monitoring and daily supervision by big data of bikes’ riding and parking, and it is to be put into use officially in December, 2018.
