25th Concours Mondial de Bruxelles held in Haidian

The 25th Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (2018 CMB•Haidian) kicked off in Haidian District, Beijing, capital of China on May 10, which is jointly held by People’s Government of Haidian District and the organizing committee of Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.

During the 2018 CMB•Haidian, totally 9,180 wines will be blind tasted by nearly 400 judges from 51 countries and regions to compete for medals of Grand Gold, Gold and Silver of Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.

The 2018 CMB•Haidian highlights the application of scientific and technological elements, which embodies Haidian District’s power in science and technology. For example, traditional paper marking tables have been upgraded to electronic one.

In addition, high-tech products like the face recognition signing system, translator providing online translation of ten languages and photoelectricity sensor goods shelf are all applied in the competition.

The 2018 CMB•Haidian marks that Concours Mondial de Bruxelles left Europe and was held in China and Asia for the first time.

Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, an international wine competition called “World Wine Championship” or “Oscars of wine”, has taken place annually since its inception in 1994.
