From April 9, Beijing Public Transport Group opened five new express bus lines to facilitate residents from Baigezhuang of Changping District, Lixiangcheng of Daxing District, Lizhuang of Tongzhou District, Dongba of Chaoyang District and Longmen of Mentougou District to take subway, including the first express bus line running between Changyang of Fangshan District and Shijingshan District.
It is learned that the five lines were all opened on the basis of passengers’ opinions. They are Special Line No. 62 running between Baigezhuang Bus Station and Longjinyuan Bus Station and connecting to subway Line 8, NO. 88 between Lizhuangjiayuan to Tongzhoubeiguan Subway Station of Line 6, No. 96 between Jiaozhuang Bridge West to Jiangtai Road East and connecting to subway Line 14, No. 102 between Sunhe Bus Station and Dongzhimen to facilitate inbound residents via the airport expressway, and No. 151 between Yuanxiang Town of Fangshan District and Shijingshan Science and Technology Park to provide a quick commute option for residents.
In addition, two other existing lines adjusted their routes. The express bus line No. 75 was extended to Xinwang South Street and added with Xinhe Street, Hongxu Road East and Xinrong South Street bus stops to facilitate residents around Lixiangjiayuan Community to take subway Daxing Line and the express bus line No. 150 was adjusted to run between Longmen West Street South and Pingguoyuan Subway Station, facilitating residents from Longmen Community to take subway Line 1.
Each line has a single ticket fare, priced from five to 15 yuan (0.79 to 2.38 U.S. dollars), passengers can enjoy a discount by swiping a yikatong card and all free certificates are invalid for use.
