Beijing-Shanghai bullet train faster from April 10

Starting from April 10, 2018 at 0 o'clock, China’s new railway operation diagram will take effect, with the number of Fuxing bullet trains increased and cargo capacity further improved, according to the China Railway Corporation.

After the new train diagram put into operation, eight pairs of Fuxing train at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour will be added to run from Beijing South Station to Shanghai Hongqiao Station, Shanghai Station, Hangzhou East Station, and Hefei South Station, by one pair, two pairs, three pairs and two pairs, respectively.

In accordance with the new railway operation diagram, the shortest travel time between Beijing and Shanghai will be 4 hours and 18 minutes, cutting six minutes.

While, the traveling time of Beijing-Hangzhou and Beijing-Hefei will be shortened by 36 minutes and 20 minutes respectively.

With the new train operation diagram, the number of Fuxing bullet trains running per day will amount to 114.5 pairs, reaching 23 municipalities, capital cities of provinces and autonomous regions.

Besides, six pairs of passenger bullet trains will be added to run on Shijiazhuang-Jinan and Jiaozhou-Jinan lines.

Another two pairs of trains will be added in travel rush period, with one pair running from Yantai Station to Shijiazhuang Station and Shijiazhuang Station to Jinan West Station, the other from Pingyuan East Station to Weihai Station and Weihai Station to Jinan West Station.
