In order to facilitate passengers to return home during the Spring Festival travel rush, Beijing Subway Line 2, 7 and 9 will run nine additional trains around opening time every day from February 19 to March 18.
The nine trains include four departing from Beijing Railway Station of Line 2, one departing from Beijing West Railway Station of Line 7 and four departing from Beijing West Railway Station of Line 9.
The time for the first additional trains of Line 2 in inner and outer loop directions is 5:04 and 5:00, the time for the additional train of Line 7 to Jiaohuachang is 5:30, and the time for the first additional trains of Line 9 to National Library and Guogongzhuang is 5:19 and 5:49.
This move aims to facilitate passengers arriving in Beijing early in the morning to return home as soon as possible and greatly ease the pressure of returning passengers around railway stations.
In addition, the subway stations of Beijing Railway Station and Beijing West Railway Station will open 20 minutes in advance every day so as to reduce the waiting time of returning passengers early in the morning.
