A heartwarming activity themed “paying tribute to workers” was held by Guanyinsi Subdistrict of Daxing District of Beijing on February 11, 2018.
During the activity, construction workers of the new airport metro line received more than 100 coats raised by residents and 200 sets of clothing and daily necessities purchased by the subdistrict.
It is learned that the new airport metro line has been constructed for over one year, and this year, more than 20 workers will be on duty during the Spring Festival holiday. Manager of the project introduced that workers catch a cold easily as they work outdoors, so the coats and scarfs sent by Guanyinsi Subdistrict this time will be great help for them.
“Now the temperature is low in winter, but workers are still working outdoors. I hope the coats we sent will make them feel warm,” a resident of Guanyinsi Subdistrict surnamed Zhang said. “I feel grateful that they will stick to their post instead of going home for the Spring Festival. Each of us should pay tribute to them and express gratitude.”
