“Hey guys, please feel free to eat as I have fastened a seat belt,” an interesting slogan was seen on many food delivery boxes on the street of Haidian District in Beijing on February 5, 2018.
Recently, in order to ensure the safety of takeout food, China’s leading food delivery companies Eleme and Baidu Waimai cooperated with food and drug administration departments to launch a project on the theme of food safety in Beijing. Restaurants are required to seal the package of takeouts before delivery men fetch and deliver them to customers. The seal on the package should remain unbroken when customers receive takeouts and if not, customers can refuse to receive them.
It is learned that the food safety seals are made of safe and environment-friendly materials.
