The 9th Bird’s Nest Snow Festival will begin trial operation on Dec. 23, 2017 and it will officially open on Dec. 29.
This year, the festival requires that people of 15 and younger can enjoy free admission with valid certificates (under 12 with adults) so as to encourage more young people to participate in ice and snow sports.

The standard day ticket will be priced at 120 yuan ($ 18.14) and the ticket for weekends and holidays will be 160 yuan. A promotion activity will be provided at the skiing trail on the north side of the Bird’s Nest where visitors can enjoy unlimited skiing in a day at the price of 100 yuan (except during the Spring Festival).
In addition, in order to facilitate the popularization of winter sports in schools, ice and snow classes are set for primary and middle school students to experience ice and snow sports at the Bird’s Nest, learn winter Olympics knowledge and experience winter Olympics sports.
