The shared wheelchair service, one of the measures to improve medical services, is being piloted at Beijing Friend Hospital, Capital Medical University recently.
This year, in order to improve the medical environment and enhance patients’ sense of gain in medical treatment, the Beijing Friendship Hospital placed 20 shared wheelchairs at the north gate (outpatient time) and west gate (24 hours) on the first floor of the outpatient building to serve patients within the hospital.
It is learned that patients can use the shared wheelchairs just after scanning the QR code via WeChat, completing real-name registration, logging on and paying a deposit of 99 yuan ($ 14.96). It is noteworthy that the shared wheelchairs are free for use within the first three hours in a day and they charges one yuan per 10 minutes after the three hours. The deposit can be refunded at any time and it will be refunded within 10 working days. When returning shared wheelchairs, patients simply need to place them back to original locations, lock them and submit returning applications on the phone.
It is reminded that each patient can only use one wheelchair at the same time, patients should pay the fees when returning wheelchairs, or else they cannot enjoy the shared wheelchair service next time, the deposit cannot be refunded when there are unpaid orders or wheelchairs in use, and the returning time is unlimited but the wheelchairs need returning to rental locations.
