Beijing will pilot operating the first dynamic high-speed rail fast bus line during the National Day holiday. The bus line runs from Beijing South Railway Station to the Baiziwan area and passengers can freely get off wherever they want in the service area.
The line aims to provide passengers with “door to door” travel services and it facilitates the travel of the passengers who arrive at Beijing South Railway Station at night.
The dynamic bus line’s service area covers the major residential areas of Fangzhuang, Huawei, Panjiayuan, Songyuli, Beijing University of Technology, Wusheng Road, Bakeyang and Baziwan.
The line uses minibuses and it is different from traditional bus lines in design ideas, operational philosophy, scheduling methods and payment. Passengers can book on the APP of “Dingzhigongjiao” in advance or choose on the site to get off wherever they want. The buses’ routes are automatically generated based on passengers’ dynamic destinations via “Internet+” technologies so as to meet personalized travel needs by the use of intensive transport mode. Passengers can book tickets on APP in advance or buy tickets in cash or by scanning QR codes on WeChat or Alipay.
The line will be open from October 7 to 9 this year, with the operating time from 23:00 to 24:00. The single fare is 15 yuan ($2.25), the preferential price is 10 yuan during the initial operation stage, and booking electronic tickets on APP enjoys a 60 percent discount, that is, nine yuan. Yikatong bus cards or free ticket certificates are all invalid for use.
In addition, there is another dynamic high-speed rail fast bus line running from Beijing South Railway Station to Sanyuan Bridge, which will be open from September 29 to October 1 and October 7 to 9.
Passengers can inquire on dingzhi.bjbus.com or book tickets on the APP of “Dingzhigongjiao” from October 1.
