“Dama, this is the vegetables we deliver for you this week. In the future, if you have something to do, you can just call us for help,” a property management staff member said to 84-year-old An Shuqin at No. 19 Courtyard of Xizhenjiang Hutong in Dongcheng District of Beijing on September 15, 2017. This was the first time that An Dama had enjoyed the free vegetable-delivering service in this quarter and the community promises to deliver vegetables to her home every Friday.

The free vegetable-delivering service for 80-year-old-plus elders is one part of the “property management services+” in communities in the Suzhou Community of Jianguomen Subdistrict in Dongcheng District of Beijing. In the future, the elderly can just wave to ask or make an appointment with property management patrols in hutongs to help them buy vegetables, move furniture or do some cleaning in courtyards. Moreover, the property management companies will provide 20-hour inspections, 20-hour service hotlines and WeChat services to timely response to residents’ requirements.

Meng Rui, director of Jianguomen Subdistrict’s office, introduced that they aim to be service experts with the best attitude and provide public welfare and convenience at home for residents. The subdistrict plans to release a smartphone APP based on the “property management services+” in communities, which allows community residents to make orders more conveniently, track orders more accurately and give comments more directly. The residents’ feedbacks on the APP will be an important indicator for selecting property management companies and service providers.
