The first open day activity themed “Sun justice and wisdom court” was held at Beijing Supreme People’s Court on December 14, 2016.
“Wisdom Judge”, an intelligent judgment system of Beijing courts, was launched at the event. It is the latest achievement of information technology services applied in Beijing courts for litigants.
A staffer demonstrated how “Wisdom Judge” works in a case of intentional injury crime. “After a party refuses to accept the verdict of the first trial decision, Wisdom Judge will begin to work. It will extract the information about the first trail and wait for the judge to confirm the operation of the second trial,” she said.
During the second trial stage, Wisdom Judge automatically “portraits” the case for the judge by providing intelligent analysis of the information about the case before the trial, other cases involved with the parties, the cases of such kind handled in Beijing courts and by the judge.
Then the judge can give identified, unidentified or pending preliminary judgments based on the above information.
In addition, in the pre-trial preparation stage, Wisdom Judge also automatically sorts out the facts awaiting trial, generates a trial outline, and sends them to the trial system. After the trial, it offers the judge more accurate similar cases, judgment criteria and laws and regulations based on the trial outline, trial transcripts, case’s elements and the content identified by the judge, so as to help the judge complete writing the judgment document.
