A hundred years ago, the businesses in Xidan had attached importance to commercial integrity, especially those old and famous shops that usually placed plates of “No tricks” at prominent places to show their commitment to customers. During its development Xidan stuck to inherit its business culture of commercial integrity. In 1998, it was named as one of the model streets without selling fake goods. In 2012, it was rated as the famous commercial street in China. In July 2016, a convention on commercial integrity services was revised to strengthen the business culture of commercial integrity in Xidan.
